STORY OVERVIEW

A mother tells her daughter to look after four babies in their yard. Over the fence, next-door, a man leaves his four dogs. One by one, while the girl is not looking, dogs and babies swap places, going through holes in the fence to reach the other side. As the dogs replace the babies, the girl in charge becomes upset, and goes to fetch her mother. By the time they return, dogs and babies have all swapped over. It is a real puzzle for the girl and her mother. An old woman is disturbed by the babies playing in the yard next door, and scolds them. The girl and her mother hear the noise, discover the babies, and bring them back. The man comes back to collect his dogs, and now he is puzzled to find them gone.
